1. Unit Name: Labor & Delivery/Post Partum Unit.
2. Brief Unit Description: 25-Bed Labor & Delivery Unit which encompasses: L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 RRs and 2 ANU rooms.
3. Years of Experience Required: 3 years minimum.
4. Skill Sets Required: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, & Newborn Care.
5. Clinician to Patient Ratio: L&D 1:2-3 Evals, 1:1 Active Labor, Magnesium gtt or EPIDURAL. PP 1:3-4.
6. Bed Count: 5 LD Rooms, 12 PP, 2 ORs, 2 RR, 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds.
7. Census: Average daily census 15-25 mothers, babies and labors.
8. EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
9. Floating Required: No.
10. Rotating Shifts Required: Day Rotate position is primarily a Day position with rotation to Eves and Nights as needed. We cannot offer straight Days due to our Union Agreement.
11. Certifications Required: Current Massachusetts RN License. BLS, NRP & EFM (every 2 years for L&D).
12. Additional Information: ACLS (preferred).
