Overview

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage in Tacoma, WA. This assignment offers up to 2 weeks per month of ongoing coverage with strong hospital and clinic support.

Practice Highlights

• Coverage Dates Needed:

  • November

  • December

  • Ongoing: Up to 2 weeks/month (6 9 month duration)

• Setting: Hospital (ER coverage 24/7) + Outpatient clinic (3.5 days/week, mornings)

• Procedures: Full spectrum of orthopedic cases (excluding complex pelvic cases)

• EMR: Epic

• Dedicated PA support in ER, MA in clinic

• Reason for coverage: Provider resignation
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon REQUIRED

• WA license or IMLC (LOQ in hand) REQUIRED

• Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon REQUIRED

• Minimum 5 years of Level II trauma experience REQUIRED

• BLS & DEA REQUIRED (or willing to obtain after offer)

• Availability at name clear REQUIRED

• Clean malpractice preferred
  
  

Schedule & Coverage

• ER Coverage: 24/7 with PA support

• Outpatient Clinic: 3.5 days per week (mornings, Mon Fri)

• Admissions/Patients: Varies (0 7 per day)
