Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with holiday rotation
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios consistently
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, same expectation as current staff nurses with agency floating first
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Minimum 1 year of experience required (preferably 2 years)
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac and neuro experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with post open heart diagnoses
• Work with specialized equipment including chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, and cardiac output monitors
• Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services and phlebotomy
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start
• Local candidates within 60 miles not accepted
• Hurricane season emergency response team assignment possible June through November

This acute care facility features 276 total staffed beds and operates a comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in post-cardiac surgery patients. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and provides extensive interdisciplinary support services. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac and neurological care with state-of-the-art equipment and specialized monitoring capabilities for complex cardiac patients.
