Unit OR (Cost Center 72 ) # suites Main OR has 14 Suites # of cases per day Average 28 cases/day w/ 5 add-on's (Including SDS cases) Certs/Tech certified "RN's: BLS, ACLS, & Pals are Required OR Tech's: BLS is Required. CST is only preferred Experience Requirement: 2-3 Years of experience in the specialty is required, as well as 2-3 previous travel assignments. Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred." Ratios OR 1:1 EMR EPIC Charge Nurse Yes 7a - 7p. They will take circulate cases if needed OR techs Yes Weekend Requirement - RN's One weekend day on-call 7a-7p per month Weekend Requirement - CST's One weekend day on-call 7a-7p per month Call Requirement - RN's One weeknight on-call 7p-7a Call Requirement - CST's One weeknight on-call 7p-7a What is call response time? 20 minutes (if they are >20 minutes away & on call they would be required to stay ) Holidays No Scrub Color/ Provided Scrubs are provided for RN's & OR Techs Tele RN's are not required to interpret strips in the OR. Anesthesia interprets Vents Yes Surgeon on call hours 7p-7a during the week & 7p Friday - 7a Monday on weekends IV Team No RT 24/7 RT is in-house 24/7. They bring vent established patients to the OR & maintain in the PACU Pharmacy 24/7 Yes & have Omnicell Shifts They have 8's, 10's, & 12's. Varied start times, primarily day/evening. No self-scheduling for travelers. They will allow block scheduling if it meets the needs of the unit. (the shift will be indicated in the job need) Floating No Floor specific orientation 3 Shifts Common types of cases All surgical cases except Open Heart (a lot of neuro spine, total joints, open fractures), no vascular at this time but will be in August, General,ENT, Scrubbing required - RN's ? this would be a PLUS not required Additional Notes Normally have enough to run 7-8 OR's (2 Techs to 1 RN) but do not have any aids or house-keeping - techs are responsibility for turning over rooms)
