The Hematology/Oncology Physician will provide comprehensive medical oncology and hematology care, primarily in an outpatient setting, treating a diverse patient population with a focus on solid tumors and hematology. The role involves collaborating with a dedicated medical team, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, and participating in academic and research activities. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in hematology and oncology, hold or be willing to obtain relevant medical licenses and certifications, and contribute to patient-centered cancer care in Saginaw, MI.
Saginaw, MI is seeking two dynamic and dedicated physicians to join its exceptional Oncology and Hematology department. This facility is recognized for its commitment to excellence and patient-centered care, making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive Medical Oncology and Hematology care, with approximately 20% inpatient and 80% outpatient responsibilities.
- Treat a diverse patient population, with around 30% focused on Hematology and 70% on Solid Tumor care.
- Manage a patient census of approximately 25 outpatient visits per clinic and 5-10 inpatient consultations.
- Collaborate with a cohesive team that includes 3 full-time Medical Oncologists and 1 full-time Hematologist, along with dedicated support staff.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology including advanced diagnostic and treatment options for cancer care.
- Participate in academic activities due to the affiliation with Central Michigan University's College of Medicine.
- Engage in research initiatives aimed at advancing cancer treatment.
- Provide a patient-centric approach in a fully staffed, newly remodeled clinic.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in both Hematology and Medical Oncology (0-5 years of residency).
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification (to be obtained prior to start).
- CSR/CDS certification (to be obtained prior to start).
- Recent NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days active).
- Open to both new graduates and experienced candidates.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
- Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certificate and CSR/CDS certification required prior to starting.
