Job Responsibilities:

• Call Schedule:
  • General surgery and trauma call
  • Manage 10-15 patients per shift, with 2-5 new admissions
• Admissions Required: Yes
• Rounding: Assigned patients
• Holidays Allowed: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required
  • Board Certified in General Surgery
• Licensing:
  • Licensed in WA or IMLC
  • No reimbursement for licensing costs
• Certifications Required:
  • ATLS
• Additional Certifications:
  • BLS and ACLS are not required
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45-60 days

Facility Details:

• Hospital Information:
  • Level 3 trauma facility
  • Supported by an APP - Surgical Hospitalist
  • Most admissions handled by the Adult Hospitalist team
• Department Information:
  • Surgery department with an add-on room
  • Two crews scheduled on weekends

• Temporary privileges available
• The facility does not require hospital/surgery center privileges
