Telemetry RN Job Details

• Unit: Telemetry Unit (37 beds)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7PM – 7AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in a 37-bed Telemetry unit
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6 (1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients)
• Administer medication drips and operate PCA/IV pumps
• Provide care for patients recovering from Heart Catheterization procedures
• Perform and assist with central lines and bubble studies
• Collaborate with RNs, Patient Care Techs, and Unit Clerks to deliver quality clinical support
• Document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
