This position includes management of emergent ophthalmologic conditions within an acute care setting, along with a broad range of ophthalmology surgical cases and a variable schedule.Position Highlights:Management of emergent ophthalmologic surgeries in the acute care settingBroad spectrum of ophthalmology surgical casesVariable clinical and surgical scheduleCollaborative care environment with multidisciplinary supportEmphasis on work-life balanceResponsibilities:Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision testingDiagnose and treat ocular diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and traumatic eye injuriesPerform ophthalmologic surgeries including cataract, glaucoma, retinal, and laser proceduresPrescribe corrective lenses and ophthalmic medicationsEducate patients on eye health and preventive careCollaborate with optometrists, technicians, and other medical specialistsMaintain accurate and detailed patient records and remain current with ophthalmology advancementsQualifications:MD or DO degreeCompletion of an accredited Ophthalmology residencyBoard Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Ophthalmology preferredActive, unrestricted state medical license or eligibilityStrong clinical, surgical, and communication skillsCompensation & Benefits:Two-year guaranteed salaryEmployed physician positionComprehensive medical and retirement benefitsPaid leave benefitsRelocation allowanceCME allowanceMalpractice coverage
