Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience to provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Hawaii, with Saturday shifts required.
Responsibilities
- Work includes a mix of 25% inpatient (acute, ICU, SNF, Med/Surg, Observation, OB) and 75% outpatient therapy
- Daily schedule is Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with required Saturday coverage and some schedule flexibility
- Caseload ranges from 5 to 15 patients per day, with 30-45 minute sessions and hour-long new evaluations
- Responsibilities include treatment across ER, ICU, Med/Surg, Observation, SNF, OB, and hospital-based outpatient PT clinic
- Includes assignments in a rural setting requiring independent and comprehensive patient care
- Main responsibilities include PT evaluations, treatments, patient mobility progression, and discharge planning
- Must be able to work independently and provide thorough care for diverse PT diagnoses
- Orientation includes HR, safety, risk and quality management, and two days of onboarding with electronic medical record training
- Dress code and team structure details provided during orientation
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- Role is not suitable for candidates unable to work Saturdays without exception
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist
- Current, active Hawaii PT license required; must obtain Hawaii PT license if not already held (license required if applicable)
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- Experience with both inpatient and outpatient care required
- Ability to manage a varied caseload in a dynamic environment
