Role requires an MSN/DNP (preferred), DEA licensure, minimum 2 years oncology experience, strong clinical judgment, and ability to work four 10-hour days with potential local travel. Position is locum with OT after 40 hours, offers flexible scheduling, and values certifications like OCN and bilingual skills.
Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology
Join our dedicated team as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Medical Oncology and make a meaningful difference in patients lives. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical setting, providing comprehensive cancer care, including patient assessments, chemotherapy and infusion management, and responding to infusion reactions. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality oncology services across both clinic and hospital environments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include managing patient infusions, performing assessments, and providing expert care in a fast-paced oncology setting. This full-time locum position is ideal for experienced providers seeking a rewarding role with flexible scheduling. The provider will work four days per week, typically from 8 am to 6 pm, splitting time between outpatient clinic and hospital duties. OT pay applies after 40 hours per week, with shifts primarily from Monday through Friday.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in an oncology clinic setting
- Strong knowledge of infusion management and patient assessments
- Ability to recognize and manage infusion reactions
- DEA licensure is mandatory
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with transportation or EHR systems
- Additional certifications such as OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or similar
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Prior experience working in hospital and outpatient clinics
Other Requirements:
- Valid DEA license
- Availability to start on 01/04/2026
- Willingness to work 4/10s per week, with OT eligibility
- Ability to travel locally if required, with reimbursements provided when applicable
