Job DescriptionThe position is within an Adult Forensics/Intensive Unit, where the Registered Nurse will be required to provide care for patients with complex needs, including co-occurring psychiatric issues along with substance abuse disorders. Candidates must have recent experience in forensic nursing and be comfortable in a high-stress environment. The nurse will be part of a multidisciplinary team that focuses on individualized treatment and care delivery.
Responsibilities- Identify and address individual and group needs and interventions.
- Utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care.
- Provide clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care.
- Help patients develop and maintain sobriety while managing psychiatric needs.
- Recent forensic nursing experience within the last three months.
- Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with inpatient psychiatric experience in the last three months.
- Experience in Intensive/Forensics Psych/Behavioral Health.
- Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts.
- Certification in CPI preferred; required to obtain if not currently active.
- Valid nursing license and willingness to confirm eligibility for licensure.
