What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate within the healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and/or incidents within the location.
- Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering secure areas, in accordance with site protocols.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with facility staff and local law enforcement as necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
- Uphold Allied Universal's standards of professionalism and integrity while performing assigned duties in the healthcare setting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton certification is preferred.
- CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
