Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring a current OH or compact RN license and specialized pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a major hospital
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, 3 shifts per week
- Pediatric patient population, caring for patients from infancy through age 25
- Involvement in epilepsy monitoring and the administration of inotropes
- ECG rhythm recognition and EKG interpretation required
- Must be able to work every other holiday as scheduled
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be passed during orientation
- Assignments at Cleveland Clinic locations cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month wait required before returning
- Lotus scheduling system used for submitting hours
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active unrestricted OH or compact RN license required and must be in hand
- Minimum 18 months of recent permanent pediatric nursing experience in specialty required prior to travel assignments
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with EKGs and inotropes required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHHS) certification preferred
