RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 28-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit caring for acute cardiac patients
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Required to work at least every 3rd weekend
• Minimum 3 shifts per week
• Float to like units including Ortho/Neuro/CCU/CDU/SSU/Obs/Rehab as needed
• Care for cath lab patients including ablations, PFO closures, stents, pacers
• Treat stroke patients and other PCU overflow patients
• Use equipment including EKG, bladder scanner, sit to stand, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, Pyxis
• Documentation system: Meditech-EBC
• Perform basic med tele procedures
• Focus on safety and quality with high expectations for documentation compliance
• Maintain processes related to central lines, foleys, c.diff and other HAIs
• Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds on every patient daily
• Monitor white boards, room tidiness, safety and quality measures
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Basic Dys, NIH certification
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Dress code: Royal blue scrub tops, royal blue or black pants, grey/white/black/royal blue undershirt
