Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will conduct regular patrols, stay visible to support a sense of security, and provide outstanding customer service, all while embodying our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
- Monitor for unusual activity or potential threats and report observations according to established procedures.
- Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or the public while upholding site-specific rules and regulations.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related concerns during patrols.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Support law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
