Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and an active MA OT license for a home health position in the South Region.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting serving patients in their residences across a defined geographic area
- Covers a wide patient age range from birth to over 100 years old
- Day shift from 08:00 to 16:30
- Position requires travel within the assigned region
- Use of Epic EMR for charting
- Provide OT services for patients with cognitive and physical impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify and coordinate care needs
- Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources related to care provision
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse populations are expected
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital to qualify for the standard travel rate
- Parking at Boston locations is self-pay with daily rates; public transportation options are available
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in MA required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of home care OT experience required
- 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an OT required
- Ability to work with various computer software and hand-held patient care devices preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills required
- Certifications must be from AHA only
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions accepted
