Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in outpatient infusion oncology
• Clinic closes at 3:30 PM but may stay longer to finish infusions
• No weekend rotation, on-call, or floating requirements
• Closed on major holidays
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion/oncology experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification
• Must be comfortable administering chemotherapy agents and recognizing adverse reactions
• Skills required: chemo administration, peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath and PICC line access
• Must be comfortable drawing blood from ports for labs
• Care for adult oncology patients only (no pediatrics)
• Provide long term IV antibiotics, injections, blood and platelet infusions
• Handle approximately 10 patients per day through the department
• No chemo patients after 2:00 PM
• Work with EPIC EMR system (preferred but not required), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Navy scrubs required
• One shift of unit orientation provided

Facility:
This healthcare facility is a 205-bed hospital featuring a Level II NICU and comprehensive medical services. The outpatient infusion oncology unit is located within the Same Day Surgery area and operates 5 infusion chairs. The facility provides specialized cancer care services with dedicated support staff including clinic leads, schedulers, and access to oncologists and hospitalists when needed. The unit maintains modern equipment and technology to support safe chemotherapy administration and patient care.
