The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive patient care through health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication prescribing within a federal healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, patient history, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies as necessary, following established guidelines and state regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient interactions and interventions.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Current, active license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Arizona
- Eligible for board certification in chosen field of expertise
- Graduate degree from an accredited university in Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Studies
- NCCPA board certification (where applicable)
- Proof of continuing education for the past three (3) years
