RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel nursing position
• Work on a busy 33-room medical telemetry unit caring for up to 49 patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during night shift
• Provide care for medical surgical patients with specialty focus on surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Care for low-acuity burn patients in partnership with burn unit
• Perform wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Work may include semi-private rooms when hospital census is high
• BLS certification required
• Medical/surgical background required
• Spinal cord injury experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working on a busy medical floor
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1.5 techs, and 5-6 RNs

The medical center operates a busy 6th floor medical telemetry unit with 33 rooms and partnerships with specialized units like the burn center.
