Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Lawton, OK 73505 (Oklahoma healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 16, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 (Med/Surg unit)
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2 position
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470 - $1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oklahoma or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (6 months Med/Surg experience required at minimum)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to provide patient care across the lifespan: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for medical-surgical patients
• Conduct patient assessments, nursing diagnoses, and ongoing evaluations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high standards of patient care
• Provide leadership and guidance to ancillary and clinical support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population
