Our job summary
Flexible shifts and hands-on food prep in a fast-paced kitchen. Food Service Worker / Cook role; part-time or full-time shifts; on-site kitchen location; ongoing/perm or temporary assignments. - Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/move pans/trays - Follow food safety, sanitation, wrapping/dating/rotation procedures - Basic knife/prep skills and measure/weigh ingredients - Ability to operate cooking appliances safely - Provide customer service when required
Full description

-Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.

-Weighs and measures designated ingredients.

-Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.

-Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.

-Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.

General responsibilities when working a Cook job assignment can include:

  • Cook food items according to recipes and food production standards
  • Ensure food is safely prepared and at the proper temperature for consumption
  • Keep cooking station clean and orderly during shift
  • Comply with all sanitation and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
  • Safely use and operate cooking appliances and utensils
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service for guests as needed
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food products for the kitchen as needed
  • Work in a busy environment and standing for long periods of time
