PCU RN Job Details – Rock Island, IL

• Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities – Illinois travel nursing jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (7N), Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 28, 2025
• End Date: March 29, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 start)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1950 - $2090
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois RN license required; Iowa RN license preferred)
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Cardiac Stepdown, or acute care nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and cardiac status
• Administer medications, cardiac treatments, and prescribed interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered healthcare environment
