Position: CVICU RN – Nights Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Every other weekend required No call; holidays as needed 30-minute unpaid break Unit Details: Beulah T. Hinkle ICU: 36 beds (24 ICU, 12 Stepdown/IMC) Patient ratio: 1:1–2 (based on acuity) Patient population: Adults 18+, post-CABG/Valve, OR transfers, cardiac surgery, mechanical ventilation, shock, acute respiratory disease ICU equipped with cardiac care area and OR-quality lighting Requirements: NYS RN license required at submission (can screen without license) Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year in specialty Cardiac surgery skills required: CABG, valve surgery, Swan-Ganz, IABP Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or Red Cross; can obtain prior to start) Prior travel experience preferred, not required Recent Nursys verification Scheduling & Orientation: Bi-weekly RN orientations (ER RN every other Tuesday; others every Monday) EMR: Cerner No self-scheduling or block scheduling Float within competencies (Stepdown or Med-Surg as needed) Scrubs/shoes provided; no artificial nails or chipped polish Submission Notes: Full SSN, DOB, and RTO required Only one Ellis submission at a time Local and travel rates are the same Prior Ellis staff (perm or per diem) not eligible
