Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with Siemens CT experience and ARRT registration or eligibility for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based computerized tomography unit
- Night shifts Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Adult and pediatric patient population
- Procedures include acquiring CT scans, multi-planar and 3D reconstructions, and image manipulation according to protocols
- Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS systems, with image transfer to EMR (Epic) and IMPAX
- Duties involve verifying patient identification, obtaining history, assisting patients needing extra attention, and ensuring patient safety
- Responsible for correctly administering oral and IV contrast according to protocols, including checking lab values
- Transfers and verifies images accurately in PACS and EMR systems
- Maintains workflow efficiency, produces quality images, and participates in departmental improvement opportunities
- Supports onboarding of new employees and students
- Must be able to report for required testing and background checks within designated timelines
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or be registry eligible
- Advanced CT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Previous Siemens CT experience required
- Must maintain registry status and meet continuing education requirements annually
- License required if applicable
