A hospital in Western Pennsylvania seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist to work primarily weekday shifts in a small pediatric unit, managing newborns and pediatric patients including ED coverage. The position involves 10-12 hour shifts with approximately 14-16 shifts per month and collaboration with private pediatricians and a neonatologist on staff.
Western PA hospital needs a Pediatric Hospitalist to join their team. Shifts are 10-12 hours long and they are looking for 14-16 shifts per month. They have approximate 150 deliveries per month and average about 5 well-baby visits in a 24 hour period. Offering great salary, sign on bonus and relocation package. The location is perfect for a raising a family in a quality neighborhood with excellent schools. There are also other desirable neighborhoods a few miles away that are great for single people or those who enjoy a metro environment. They will entertain a part-time physician. $150-$160 per year full time.8-9 days and 3-4 nights, $150 base is 2080 hrs per year and extra shifts @ $80 per hr. Can be flexible like no nights, days only however They are not interested in nights and weekends only as private docs pick up these shifts. 3/4 shifts week / 36 hr/week 5 private docs work in eves @ $80/shift Night shifts/ 14 hrs/ 5pm-7am. $1120 shift Day shifts/ 10 hrs/ 7am-5pm $800 shift Weekends, 7am-7am, 2 docs on, $1920 for 24 hr Med Director is Dr. Griffin, she is head of group Small pediatric census, 7 bed unit, average census is 3-4 patients Hospital Pediatrics covers ED, Serious cases go to Childrens Hospital Well baby visits - 150 deliveries per month, pediatric hospitalists see about 5 newborns in a 24 hr period Neonatologist on staff
