The Urology Physician provides comprehensive urological care to adult and pediatric patients in a not-for-profit hospital setting in Southern Vermont. Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient care, performing surgical procedures, managing emergencies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires board certification or eligibility in Urology, a Vermont medical license, and participation in a light on-call rotation with a full-time Monday to Friday schedule.

Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive urological care to both adult and pediatric patients.
- Deliver care in both outpatient clinic settings and inpatient hospital environments.
- Collaborate with an established urologist and a nurse practitioner in a single-site practice.
- Perform surgical procedures in advanced operating rooms.
- Conduct hospital consultations and manage urological emergencies.
- Participate in a light on-call rotation (1:4 call schedule) covering a single hospital site.
- Utilize Cerner Community Works for electronic medical records.
- Maintain a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Manage an average of patients per day.
- Support departmental succession planning and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Open to new graduates; consideration given to candidates with lapsed board certification willing to recertify.
- Not open to long-distance commuters or alternative shift arrangements.
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
- Completed an accredited urology residency program in the United States or Canada.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Ability to document no direct applications to this position.
- Active Vermont medical license (must be obtained prior to start).
- Passed the certification exam by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
- Current BLS certification.
- Current DEA registration.
