Permanent, full‑time schedule with occasional one‑day/week travel to sub‑offices; main practice in Jacksonville area, FL, adjacent to hospital. Group practice of six cardiologists; hospital with multiple cath/EP labs, structural program. Compensation: base salary + productivity bonus, paid relocation, 4 weeks CME/PTO, benefits. - Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology - FL medical license (or ability to obtain) - Experience with echo, nuclear/PET interpretation and outpatient/inpatient consults - Comfort with on‑call rotation (1:5–1:6) and high inpatient census - Ability to work with ARNPs and travel to satellite clinics
Full description
--Opening for a BE/BC Non-Invasive or Invasive Cardiologist
--There are six other cardiologists including four interventionalists, one non interventional and one electrophysiologist.
--The office has an abundance of exam rooms, well-trained medical assistants, four mid-level ARNP?s.
--The practice maintains several sub offices. Ordinarily, the cardiologists will travel one day per week or less to a sub office for clinic. When servicing a sub clinic the entire day is usually spent there.
--The main location is across the street from the hospital
--TEE, read studies, nuclear, PET, echo, etc.
--The ancillary services on site include an office based freestanding cath lab for diagnostic heart cath (some PCI) and a large volume of peripheral vascular interventions.
--There is a PET scanner and nuclear medicine, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, pacer checks, remote and holter monitoring etc.
--We are accredited and have registered techs and we have a very busy venous program including laser and radiofrequency ablations and sclerotherepy, etc.
--Hospital has 6 labs, 4 cardiac and Peripheral, one or two full time EP labs. The hospital has a busy coronary interventional program including a established structural program.
--The group is on call rotation (1:5 or 6) for its own patients. Once per month call may coincide with the hospital STEMI call. We typically have at least 25-40 patients in the hospital census. We have ARNP?s to assist rounding including weekends.
--The group admits patients through the hospitalists or PCP?s and our cardiologists only are consulting for cardiology or peripheral issues.
--The volume of this practice is high, the referrals come from over 100 referral sources and there is a very large population of established patients in the group. You will enter a very busy practice.
--Base Salary, Productivity bonus, 4 weeks CME/ PTO, Paid relocation, CME, health ins, dues, cell phone, etc.
