Job Details:

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before and during procedures
• Implement and evaluate care plans during surgical procedures with patient safety as priority
• Supervise operating room activities and coordinate schedule changes
• Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist anesthesia personnel as necessary and monitor sterile field
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, and ancillary departments
• Provide leadership to the OR team throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Minimum 2 years of RN OR experience required
• Level 2 trauma experience required
• Must be proficient in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology procedures
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
