Locums - Stockton, California, Neurohospitalist Opening

Clinical Role:• Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!• Start Date: January 2026• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation beginning in January• Shift Times: 7:00am - 7:00pm, Monday-Sunday during assigned week• Setting: Inpatient

• The Neurohospitalist will provide consultations on one of two inpatient services:• General Inpatient Neurology• Vascular / Stroke / Emergency Neurology Service

• The neurologist may see patients independently but will primarily serve as the attending physician supervising neurology residents

Clinical Details:• Required Procedures: Lumbar puncture preferred (credentialing requires 3 proctored LPs)• Admissions/Consults per Day: 2-8• Patients per Day: Typically 10-20• Case Mix: Full spectrum of acute neurologic conditions requiring emergency neurology services and inpatient consults, including critical care, general medicine, cardiovascular surgery, and oncology patients

• EMR: Cerner• Support Staff: None• Reason for Coverage: Physician shortage / recruitment need

Candidate Requirements:• Board Certified - Required• Active WA State medical license - Required• DEA and BLS/ACLS required during credentialing• ENLS preferred but not required
