American Traveler seeks an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week acute care assignment, requiring BLS and an active CA license.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care setting with a trauma level III designation
- Position covers speech pathology services within the hospital
- Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts with every other weekend required
- Role requires floating to another area medical center if needed
- Documentation is completed using Cerner EMR and related experience is preferred
- First to float status among team members
- Position includes responsibilities for serving a diverse patient population across the acute care continuum
- Orientation includes 12 hours of training
- Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and to float between facilities as needed
- Travelers may not have been directly employed by any related health system facility in the past year
- Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided upon hire
- Active CA Speech Language Pathologist license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification is required
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care setting
- Two references are required: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
- Must submit a copy of valid driver’s license
- Licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration; pending credentials will not be accepted
