Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Gastroenterology Clinic position with weekday day shifts and prior GI/endoscopy experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a clinic setting specializing in gastroenterology
- Patient care includes scheduling and triaging GI procedures and referrals, managing phone and MyChart inquiries, and assisting with upper and lower endoscopies
- Typical duties include taking vitals, rooming documentation, patient education, scheduling, and assisting providers during exams
- Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekend, call, or holiday requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Work closely with providers, clinic nurses, and a nursing supervisor
- Orientation provided by Nurse Supervisor
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Manager approval required for requested time off
- A 100-mile radius rule applies; local travelers are not accepted
Requirements
- Active RN license from South Dakota or a compact state
- Completion of an approved RN education program
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1.5 years RN or LPN experience required
- Previous GI or endoscopy experience required
- Strong communication, care coordination, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work comfortably in a clinic setting including all associated duties
