What you will do
Under general supervision, you’ll lead the execution of mechanical retrofit projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial success. You’ll coordinate day-to-day activities for mechanics and subcontractors, secure new work and change orders, and act as a technical resource for Sales—all while building strong customer relationships.
- Manage mechanical retrofit projects using Johnson Controls’ standardized processes
- Oversee project safety compliance and ensure adherence to local codes
- Coordinate mechanics and subcontractors for smooth project delivery
- Estimate mechanical work and present proposals to customers
- Support Sales with technical expertise and pre-bid reviews
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and cost controls
- Drive improvements through change orders and process enhancements
- Manage material procurement, logistics, and documentation
- Ensure timely transition to Truck-Based Service teams and owner training
How you will do it
- Plan, execute, and control projects from start to finish
- Use Johnson Controls tools to track progress and communicate status
- Build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors
- Attend job progress meetings and resolve issues proactively
- Promote safety and compliance across all project activities
What we look for
Required:
- 6+ years of technical and operational experience in service or retrofit projects
- Experience leading mechanics on projects totaling $3–$4M in revenue
- Strong HVAC mechanical systems knowledge
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office
- Ability to travel based on project needs
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by start date
Preferred:
- 2–4 years of engineering or trade school training (degree or equivalent)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89k-134k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
