The role involves managing both outpatient and inpatient cancer patients, with responsibilities including patient rounding, on-call duties, and collaboration with nurse practitioners. Candidates must be board certified, hold an active Massachusetts medical license, and commit to at least six months working 3-4 days per week in a hospital and clinic setting.

The hospital features state-of-the-art technology with Cerner EMR in the hospital setting and specialized Onco EMR in the clinic, ensuring coordinated patient care across all services.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
• January start date with minimum 6-month commitment required • Must be able to work at least 3-4 days per week, Monday through Friday • Outpatient clinic setting with inpatient responsibilities • Manage 15-18 patients per day in clinic • Inpatient rounding required on approximately 5 patients (1 hour of rounding time) • Must be board certified with active Massachusetts medical license (clean record preferred) • On-call responsibilities via beeper with approximately 10 calls per 24-hour period (callback is rare) • Will work alongside a nurse practitioner in the practice • Stroke-certified facility with temporary privileges available for qualified providers • No teaching or resident supervision required • No supervision of advanced practice providers required • Urgent need due to two physicians leaving the practice • Credentialing timeframe: 8 weeks with clean record, 90 days with issues
