Endocrinologist Opening in West Nyack, NY Located in West Nyack, NY; 30mi from NYCFull-time, permanent positionFellowship-trained, physician-led, patient centered team-based care environmentEducate and empower your patients to take ownership of their healthOpportunities for growth and developmentStability of an established, reputable practice within a collegial multispecialty group with an exceptionally large referral base of over 400 local providers spanning over 70 medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialtiesDirect support staff and teams to assist with patient care and workflowIncluding Nutritionist & Certified Diabetes Educator supportAutonomy and independence in practice, including a strong affiliation with local tertiary care hospital(s) that provides a full range of medical and procedural Endocrinology care servicesDesirable Monday Friday schedules during normal business hours that promote work-life balanceManageable and equitably shared rotating on-call support and local inpatient rounding (i.e., 1:6 to 1:7-week rotations; very manageable)Patient census adult focused (ages 18+)New grads are welcome to applyPrimary Responsibilities:Investigate, diagnose, and treat full range of endocrine system disorders, which encompasses everything from diabetes to hyperthyroidism to osteoporosisWe provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art diabetes care using a team-based approach to care meaning, our team of full-time endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators and nutritionists all work together to help patients successfully treat diabetes and prevent its complicationsOn-site screening for osteoporosis because with proper detection, education, prevention, and treatment, together we can beat this silent diseaseComprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of all thyroid disorders, including Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid nodules, and Thyroid cancerWe provide on-site thyroid laboratory testing, thyroid function testing, thyroid imaging with ultrasonography, and thyroid biopsiesComprehensive medical and procedural endocrine care within a team of 14 highly skilled, fellowship-trained Endocrinologists and Advanced Practice CliniciansConsult with patients about the status of their endocrine health, while providing them with the latest advancements in careStart your days in out state-of-the-art, multi-specialty outpatient offices and finish your days rounding at the local hospitalRefer patients to advanced specialists as neededExamine & diagnose patients, oversight of all treatment prior to and post-surgery and identify associated risksOrder tests and interpret results to determine the best treatment optionsMaintain appropriate medical records and resultsProficiency / comfort with thyroid biopsies highly preferred but not requiredRequired Qualifications:Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training program(s)BC in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties (if relevant)Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred Qualifications: - Proficiency / comfort with thyroid biopsies highly preferred but not requiredCompensations and Benefits: - Competitive base salary plus quarterly RVU productivity bonuses - DAX cutting edge documentation support system utilized in order to increase efficiency and patient engagement - Top notch medical, dental, and vision plans - Five (5) weeks PTO - Competitive sign on/relocation bonuses - CME stipend of $4,000About the facility:At facility, we know that as a physician, your work makes a difference in peoples lives.
