Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of acute care tele experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit with patient overflow responsibilities
• Cares for stroke patients and those needing vasoactive drip management
• Floating required to multiple hospital locations within 20 miles
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30)
• Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience preferred but not required
• No block scheduling accommodations offered
• Responsibilities include managing telemetry patients, stroke care, and administration of vasoactive drips
• Teaching hospital environment
• Travelers may float between three hospital campuses as needed
• White scrubs required
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly following assignment confirmation
• All requested time off must be included up front; changes to time off after submission are generally not approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic locations are limited to 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month gap required before returning for a new assignment

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of tele/acute care experience required; PCU or Cardiac Tele experience must be reflected in work history
• Experience with vasoactive drips and stroke patient care required
• Certifications required: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (in hand), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine required
