This southeast Georgia Health System is seeking a board certified/board eligible Family Medicine physician to join their staff in providing traditional inpatient and outpatient services. This position is an employed practice of the hospital and offers an excellent compensation package with full benefits. The physician will be clinically supported by the hospital based clinical support team.
The Health System is a general medical and surgical system of four hospitals which includes a Critical Access Hospital (25 beds) and a 105-bed Skilled Nursing Center with a dedicated Special Care Alzheimer's Unit located in Springfield, Georgia. The multiple Primary Care practices are staffed with Family Practice and Internal Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practitioners are located throughout our primary service area, ranging from Port Wentworth, Rincon, Springfield and Guyton, Georgia. EHS also offers a Women's Health and Orthopedic Practice. An Outpatient Imaging Center is located in Rincon, Georgia to support these practices and serve the community needs.
Survey data for the latest year (2013) available shows that 11,741 patients visited the hospital's emergency room. The hospital had a total of 441 admissions. Its physicians performed 138 inpatient and 762 outpatient surgeries.
The community is approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Savannah and 20 miles from the Savannah / Hilton Head Island International Airport.
