We are seeking a skilled and dedicated physician for a locum tenens opportunity in the state of Oklahoma. This is an inpatient assignment that offers both regular and on-call shifts. Position Details: Specialties: Hospitalist, Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Location: Near Ripley, OK Coverage Type: Call only and inpatient care Assignment Dates: Ongoing, starting ASAP Work Schedule: Day Shifts: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Call Shifts: 6:00 PM - 8:00 AM Average Patients per Shift: 15-20 Average Procedures per Shift: 5 Average Calls While On-Call: 0-10 Call Back Rate: 1-3 times overnight per week On-Call Response Time: 15 minutes EMR System: Epic Responsibilities: Provide inpatient care to adult patients Perform gastroenterology procedures, including but not limited to: Upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy, cautery, and foreign body removal Colonoscopies, including polyp excisions Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), liver biopsies, and PEG placement Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Provide necessary consultations and communicate with the multidisciplinary team Manage both acute and chronic patient conditions in a hospital setting Qualifications: Board Certification: Required for specialty ACLS Certification: Required Experience: Proven experience in hospitalist and internal medicine - gastroenterology Licensure: Must be licensed in the state of Oklahoma (IMLC accepted) Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days Additional Information: Temporary privileges are available for eligible providers No hospital/surgery center privileges required This opportunity is open to locums-to-perm candidates Benefits: Insurance: Provided by vendor Travel: Reimbursed for travel expenses Lodging: Provided or arranged for the duration of the assignment On-Call Support: 24-hour availability of key support services such as anesthesia, radiology, and laboratory If you are looking for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a well-supported healthcare facility near Ripley, OK, we encourage you to apply.
