Position Overview
We are currently seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for a full-time 1099 position in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department that combines modern clinical infrastructure, engaged leadership, and flexible scheduling.
Positions are available for day, mid, and nocturnist coverage. The clinical environment includes a well-supported team of advanced practice providers, experienced nursing staff, Epic EMR, and streamlined workflows designed for quality and efficiency.
This role offers compensation above the 75th percentile of MGMA national benchmarks, along with sign-on and relocation assistance.

Approximately 60,000 annual emergency department visits.
Recently renovated 40-bed emergency department with specialty zones for critical care, mental health, and fast track.
Onsite CT and digital radiography available within the ED.
Electronic Medical Record: Epic (fully live).
Dedicated scribe support providing 30 hours of documentation assistance daily.
Physician coverage ranges from 36 to 41 hours per day.
APP coverage ranges from 55 to 69 hours per day with a variety of shift lengths.
Open to physicians trained in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with relevant emergency experience.
Moonlighting shifts available for qualified physicians seeking flexible or additional hours.
Compensation
Compensation exceeds the 75th percentile of current MGMA benchmarks for Emergency Medicine.
