American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with Trauma Level II experience and an active WI or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a Trauma Level II Emergency Department with 18 beds
- Patient population includes stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
- Typical nurse to patient ratio is 3-4 patients per nurse
- Uses Epic for charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing
- RNs are responsible for drawing labs and performing neb treatments
- Shift consists of 12-hour variable shifts, including every other weekend and every other holiday
- May float to other locations as needed
- On-call required for 12 hours within a 6-week period, with 30-minute response time
- Must be adaptable, able to work independently, and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Stroke-certified unit with strong interdisciplinary team support, including respiratory therapy and radiology staff in-house
- Must comply with masking requirements during flu season if flu or COVID vaccinations are declined
- Scrub colors are flexible; any color is acceptable
- All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the regular schedule
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of emergency nursing experience
- At least one year of travel RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
- Trauma Level II emergency department experience is required
- Proficiency with Epic charting is required
