Job Details:
• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Experience required in both stepdown and medical-surgical units
• Must have experience with chemotherapy and oncology patients
• ONS/ONCC certification required (fundamentals may be considered)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact RN license required
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (AHA) and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues
• Respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
