Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California with night shifts and high-risk OB experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 13-week contract assignment
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- Provide care to laboring mothers, including high-risk cases
- Participation in a collaborative team environment
- Epic EMR experience is utilized but not explicitly required
- No specific radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Coverage for holiday shifts may be expected per unit needs
- Candidates may not work beyond two years on assignment without a required 90-day break
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year recent full-time Labor & Delivery experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Preferred: High-risk OB experience including 1 year within the last 2 years
- Last four digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
