Shift: Full-Time 36 hours/week
Hours: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $3,000
Paid out at 3, 6 and 12 months

Make a Difference Every Shift - Join Our Med Surg Team as a Patient Care Associate!
Are you passionate about helping others and ready to take the next step in your healthcare journey? Mercy Hospital South is looking for compassionate, team-oriented individuals to join our Inpatient Med Surg East unit as a Patient Care Associate (PCA).
In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide essential care and support to patients. From assisting with daily activities and hygiene to monitoring vital signs and ensuring a safe, healing environment-you'll be a key part of each patient's recovery journey.
QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or current enrollment in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum.
- Current Mercy co-workers are also eligible.
- No prior experience required-Mercy provides a 175-hour paid training program that meets state Department of Health and Senior Services requirements. This must be completed within 90 days of hire.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
- Completion of PCA competencies required within three months of hire.
- Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform patient care tasks.
Other Requirements:
- Strong time management and clinical judgment.
- Flexibility with assignments and willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with required certifications and training.
