The Social Worker Clinical Specialist provides advanced clinical social work services within health settings, supporting individuals, families, and groups through multidisciplinary treatment planning. This role involves both direct client services and indirect responsibilities such as clinical training and supervision of other social workers. A Master's degree in Social Work, licensure, and experience in clinical social work are required to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to health policies.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides professional level skills required in the clinical practice of social work, affording direct and indirect services to clients in health settings and working with a multidisciplinary team in evaluation and treatment planning for individuals, families and groups. Offers a broad spectrum of social work services to clients with a multiplicity of needs. Serves as a role model and clinical trainer for other staff, establishing priorities for self and peers, ensuring that services are rendered in a prompt, efficient and effective manner. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school, three year's current experience in social work and demonstrated level of clinical social work skills indicative of ability to engage in self-regulated practice are required. Minimum of one year providing supervision to social workers or other related fields is preferred.
LICENSURE
State licensure by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners is required.
