Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Valid and active medical license in New York
• Proven experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or a related general medicine field
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Ability to perform non-treatment, interview-based exams efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Ability to work independently in a clinical setting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams
• Knowledge of veterans healthcare needs and benefits process
• Additional certifications relevant to general medicine or veterans' health

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice post-licensure
• Experience in performing C&P exams or similar assessments is advantageous but not required

Other Requirements:

• Own office location in Ithaca, NY (1 day per week) and Trumansburg, NY (3 days per week) for exams
• Willingness to work PRN, on a day-to-day basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Availability to perform one-time, non-treatment exams with minimal physical assessment
• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities
• Local candidates only; travel included within rates
• Commitment to completing administrative follow-up work (addendums, reports) within assigned work hours
