Join Our Team as a Hospitalist in Rome, NY!
Rome Health Hospital, a trusted healthcare provider in Central New York, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join a well-supported inpatient team. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice in a community-focused setting with a manageable patient load and excellent sub-specialty support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient care in a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM 7 PM)
- Make daily rounds on assigned patients (average per physician)
- Admit patients and manage rapid responses/codes
- Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU setting with 24/7 consultation available
- Conduct patient assessments, histories, physicals, and documentation using Paragon EMR
- Coordinate with attending physicians, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care
- Participate in a hospitalist team managing patients per day collectively
- No on-call duties
- Work in a non-trauma designated hospital with strong infrastructure
- BE accepted if a new graduate
- Must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start
- Not accepting Locums candidates
- Not accepting Visa Candidates
- 1099 candidates NOT accepted
Qualifications:
- Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- New York medical license or willingness to obtain
- Clean malpractice and license history
- DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Must be open to full-time, 7 on/7 off schedule
- Must be comfortable working in an open ICU with intensivist support
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Must finish residency for new graduates
- Must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start
