Responsibilities as the Part-Time Physician (Outpatient):
- Patient Evaluation & Clinical Assessment: Conduct patient histories and physical examinations to assess presenting conditions, risk factors, and psychosocial needs.
- Diagnosis & Treatment Planning: Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Medication Management & Procedures: Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and perform minor in-office procedures as needed.
- Preventive Care & Patient Education: Provide counseling on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Care Coordination & Documentation: Collaborate with the care team to coordinate referrals while maintaining accurate, timely electronic medical records.
- Board Certification: Board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license required.
- Certification: Current DEA registration and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
