Locums Gastroenterology Clinic + Call Eureka, CAWhy This Role
- Provide full-scope inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage
- ERCP required; fluoroscopy required
- Opportunity to work in a busy service with both clinic and hospital responsibilities
Assignment Details- Start Date: January 1, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Schedule:
- Weekdays: 7:30a-3:30p (or 7:40a-3:40p) clinic/procedures, followed by night call 5p-7:30a - Weekends: 24-hour call coverage- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology
- EMR: Epic
- Privileges: Required (no temporary privileges available)
- Estimated Credentialing: 90-120 days
- Patient Volumes: 12-16 per shift
- Support Staff: 3 MAs, 1 APP, 4 office staff
Requirements- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active California license (required for name clear)
- BLS
- ERCP required
- Fluoroscopy required
- Must provide case logs with submission
- Minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical activity; gaps >3 months must be explained
Clinical Details- Required:
- Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery, PEG) - ERCP (diagnostic & therapeutic) - Esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation - Small bowel biopsy - Colonoscopy (biopsy & polypectomy) - Liver biopsy- Preferred: Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management
Compensation- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
