This position is for a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing specialized nursing care during surgical procedures in a hospital setting. The nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare personnel to ensure patient safety, prepare surgical environments, and manage case scheduling and supplies. Candidates must have relevant RN licensure, certifications in ACLS and BLS, and a minimum of three years of recent OR nursing experience.

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. The OR RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORT’s and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital. Responsibilities include but not limited to: scheduling cases, ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating of physician preference cards, scrubbing and circulating surgical cases, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.
Facility Requirements:
- Must have Idaho RN or multi-state RN license, must have attached to the submission
- Must have ACLS & BLS certifications, these must be attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- Must have 3 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting; experience with General surgery, Davinci preferred, Ortho, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and Neuro
- This will be for 8 hour shifts, Day shift, 0630-1500; Monday through Friday with call, one day a week and one weekend a month
