Seattle Nursing Job Details

• Location: Seattle, WA 98122 (Washington nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Setting: High Risk Antepartum / Labor & Delivery
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (including C-section circulation)
• Active WA RN license or Compact nursing license
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced; ACLS preferred
• Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients (PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy)
• Ability to float to Postpartum unit as needed
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to high-risk antepartum and labor & delivery patients (6 to 41 weeks gestation)
• Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
• Circulate for C-sections and support bedside procedures (amnio, sterile spec exams)
• Administer and monitor medications including anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Manage central lines (CVC/PICC), PCA pumps, and syringe pumps
• Support patients and families experiencing fetal demise or loss, and postpartum mothers with babies in NICU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to Postpartum unit as required
