The Bartender at Six Flags Great Escape is responsible for setting up and breaking down bar areas and providing efficient beverage service while adhering to New York State liquor laws. The role includes interacting with guests to anticipate their needs, handling cash transactions accurately, and complying with safety and procedural standards. Six Flags Great Escape is hiring immediately for a Bartender. Bartenders are responsible for set ups, break downs and providing beverage services to guest at the cocktail lounge and Dining Room at Tall Tales. Responsible for ensuring efficient and professional service to guests. Develop continuous anticipation of guests needs.

- Pay Rate: $13.00/hr + tips
- Operate bar within all appropriate rules as outlined
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Complies with house rules and policies, safety standards, and Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark Responsible Beverage Service Procedure
- Must know, follow, and understand all objectives, policies, standards, and procedures set by Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark and the State of New York
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Provide courteous, friendly, efficient beverage service to guests
- Must understand the responsibilities of the Food Servers and Set-Up Attendants in all departments.
- Check driver’s license or identification cards from various States in accordance with New York State Liquor Laws
- Make drinks according to established guidelines in a consistent fashion
- Serve beer, wine, and alcohol/non-alcohol drinks according to the New York State Liquor Laws.
- Finalize sale of beverages using correct cash handling procedures
- Stop service to guests who appear to be intoxicated in a calm and professional manner
- Calculate accurately the billing of the bar on your functions(s)
Qualifications:What You Will Need
- Must be 21 or over
- Knowledge of bar procedures and drink recipes
- Knowledge of New York State liquor law
- Ability to identify signs of intoxication
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledgeable of workplace safety and procedures
- Pleasant and appropriate communication skills
- Knowledgeable in hotel and waterpark property venues and hours of operation
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as necessary
